A must read for "Rachel Morgan" Fans. The Insider is not quite a companion book to the hapless witch's story, but more of a side story of her adventures through another hollows residents eyes. Furthermore this resident is not a Rachel Morgan fan.Told through letters memos and journal entrys the Rachel's story so far is kind of rewritten through the eyes of a journalist obsessed with exposing the Rachel's demon ways.
The journalist's story is cleverly interspersed between memos , letters, recipes and top secret files about inderlanders, telling some of the story from other characters points of view such as Trent as well.I really enjoyed this book, as a change form the previous ones, while good, they got a bit formulaic.
I think this book could also be read own it own without to much prior knowledge of the characters, though I do reccomend reading them all!
