Need, Captivate, Entice -Trilogy by Carrie Jones
These are a kind of Twilight with pixies, more likable teen characters and interesting fairies theory. It also have werewolves , or rather shapeshifters the main characters gran is a were tiger-her boyfriend a werewolf and she is half pixie. No sparkly Vampires, though the murderous pixies do leave a lot of dust about...

Hollow Earth, by John and Carole E. Barrowman
Yes "Captain Jack Harkness" adds another string to his bow-writing this imaginative children's urban fantasy with his sister Carol.
With action spanning hundreds of years, the story mainly focuses on the adventures of twins Matt and Emily , who have incredible powers of imagination. They are sought by villians and monsters, and secret councils, all vying to use or stop them. Has me hooked.
